As my question will indicate, I don't generally cook ;) That being said... if I am cooking 2 bone-in whole turkey breasts side by side, and they are each 6 pounds... would I cook them together for a total of 3 hours? Or should I just cook them seperately for 1 1/2 hours each? I'm thinking that if I cook them together, it should be for less time.

Thanks for any guidance!

Kitty, in past years I've let the bird roast breast side down for the entire roasting period (and actually that's how I roast all of my chickens) because I do think it keeps the breast moister as the juices are flowing downward. I've read that it doesn't really make a difference so maybe I crazy but I say go for it! Flipping half-way through should be good to get the skin brown but personally, I don't mind just stealing skin off of the other side. ;-)

I am thinking of trying the method this year where you start cooking the bird breast side down, and then flip it over halfway through to brown the skin. I have heard it insures a moist breast. What do you think?
