Well, it's been 2 days now and the stew is finally gone. It was awesome! I found some fire-roasted diced tomatoes (Hunts) and used those in the dish. The smokiness from the paprika and the tomatoes made this dish remarkable. Definitely going to be made more this winter. My co-workers and customers are slightly upset that I didn't bring samples, which I often do. But hey, they can make their own. My wife ate it all.

Got the gist of the recipe and tweaked it here and there. I must say that it would NOT be the same recipe without the smoked paprika. I had to look at 3 different stores today but finally found some. However, with about 1/2 hour to go, I already know this dish is going to be fantastic. Cold here in WA, perfect dish for the cold weather. Thanks for the inspiration on this dish.

Paprika is the official 2008 wintertime spice of my household. I have just declared it. Paprika and pork is the official 2008 wintertime food combination. I just did a smoky lentil soup with it, but it lacked the big hunk of meat pictured above, which is KILLING ME. I now have no desire to eat the leftovers I brought for lunch.

Hey There Fellow San Diego Bloggers,

I'm new to the blogging world, but I've had a website for a couple of years now (www.RecipeGirl.com). The stew looks great. I made a Lamb Basque stew a couple of weeks ago when we were in the midst of all of that frigid (50 degree) weather!

Nice work on your blog... will check in often!
